As I pack my bags and prepare for our family's big move from France to Singapore, I'm struck by the immense gratitude I feel for having a business that moves with me. Over the years, transitioning my personal styling services online has not only allowed me to work from anywhere in the world but also to grow and adapt my business in ways I never thought possible. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to expand your existing styling business, here are ten compelling reasons why you should consider taking your styling services online:

✔️Flexibility and Freedom: Just as I am doing now, moving from one country to another, online styling services give you the freedom to work from anywhere. Whether you're relocating or simply want to travel, your business is as mobile as you are. I will continue to service my clients all over the world over the coming months without skipping a beat.

✔️Broader Client Base: Going online breaks down geographical barriers. You can reach clients across the globe, not just those who are local. This significantly widens your potential market and opportunities for client acquisition. One of the the biggest mistakes I made when I started out in personal styling was to rent an office space...I ended up getting myself in debt in the first year so my advice now is to keep start up costs to a minimum till you get your business off the ground.

You can offer sessions outside of typical business hours, appealing to clients who need evening or weekend appointments. Having flexible workhours also works well for you and allows you to work around school times, hospital appointments and your generally busy life caring for loving ones.

✔️Enhanced Tracking and Analytics: Digital platforms provide valuable insights into your business through analytics. Track client engagements, popular services, and more to better tailor your offerings.

✔️Personal Brand Expansion: Online styling helps you build and expand your personal brand. While lots of stylists rely on social media to nurture clients, I highly recommend building an email list from the word go as you own this and it can't be taken away from you unlike IG, Facebook or LinkedIn.

You are limited to your local community if you're not online and this seriously limits scalability.
