When Clara booked a Stylist Unstuck Strategy Call, she was at a crossroads.
She had the experience.
She had the training.
She had a beautiful brand and a wealth of style knowledge.
But despite her elegant presence online and years of dedication, she felt stuck—unsure how to connect the dots and turn her efforts into consistent income.
Like many personal stylists, Clara had spent years perfecting her craft but hadn’t yet found the confidence or clarity to own her niche and sell her services with ease. That all changed in a single 45-minute strategy session.
Here’s what she discovered and what might just shift everything for you, too.
After years of working between the UK and France, Clara had slowly built a styling business infused with French flair. Her aesthetic was impeccable, her photos polished, and her message refined. But something felt off.
“I was second-guessing everything,” she told me. “I wasn’t sure who I was really talking to anymore. Should I niche to expats? To Americans in France? Should I focus on women over 40? It was starting to feel like I was building a business for someone else—and it was stalling me.”
Clara had already invested hours into her website, created a lead magnet, built a following on social media, and was even getting noticed by fashion platforms and podcast hosts. But her confidence had taken a knock. The success she was craving: regular, paying clients just wasn’t coming.
She booked the call because she was tired of spinning her wheels. What she needed wasn’t more strategy. She needed someone to look at everything with fresh eyes, cut through the noise, and help her see what was already working and where the real opportunities were hiding.
When Clara and I jumped on the call, it was immediately clear: she had a rich, beautiful story, but it was hidden. Her branding was elegant, but it wasn’t clearly speaking to her ideal client.
She was:
Like so many stylists, Clara was stuck in refinement mode, constantly tweaking her visuals and offers but never feeling clear or confident enough to really show up and sell.

In our Stylist Unstuck call, we didn’t just look at her business, we looked at her story.
And it’s a powerful one.
Clara had moved to France with her family over 20 years ago. Drawn by a deep love of language, art, wine, fashion, and French culture. She ran a B&B, raised her son, and soaked up the Parisian lifestyle. Her love for French elegance wasn’t something she learned in a textbook, it was lived experience.
When she shared this story on the call, I knew immediately: this was her secret sauce or unique selling point (UPS). This was the soul of her brand. And it was nowhere to be found on her website or socials.
From there, we created a practical plan:
1. Refine the Niche Without Shrinking the Audience
Instead of targeting expats or American women in France only, Clara would now position herself as the go-to stylist for women who love all things French, wherever they live.
This opened up her audience without diluting her brand. It also made it easier for her to post naturally and create content that felt more authentic.
2. Reshape Her Website to Sell
We reviewed her homepage, her About page, and her services. The verdict?
❌The images were beautiful, but not evocative of France.
❌Her lead magnet was buried and her pop-up had no real incentive.
❌Her services weren’t clearly promoted until the bottom of her blog posts.
❌Testimonials were missing or hard to find.
We mapped out a new structure for her homepage; one that put her ideal client front and center, led with an engaging freebie (like “Five Essentials for a French-Inspired Wardrobe”), and showcased the clear transformation her offers provide.
We also identified the perfect addition to her suite: a “Moving to France Style Strategy Session”, a 45-minute paid call to help women plan their wardrobe and style for life in France. It was a no-brainer offer based on what she was already doing and one she could launch immediately.
3. Turn Her Story Into Her Superpower
Clara’s journey—from uprooting her family to live in France, to navigating recessions, caring for an aging parent, and reimagining her business during the pandemic is one that deeply resonates with other women.
Using the Origin Story Framework I teach in my Stylepreneur Accelerator Program, I encouraged Clara to tell her story, not just as a timeline, but as a hero’s journey. One with ups and downs, challenges, and triumphs. One that connects emotionally and positions her as a trusted guide for women walking a similar path.
“You don’t need to change your story,” I reminded her. “You just need to tell it in a way that connects. It’s the most powerful asset you have.”
By the end of the call, Clara looked lighter. More energized. Like she could finally see the path ahead.
She had clarity on:
✔️Who she was speaking to
✔️How to present her services with confidence
✔️What needed to change (and what didn’t)
✔️And where her greatest opportunities were hiding
She even had a short, manageable to-do list: refine her Linktree, replace her banner images with more French-inspired visuals (think Provence, Paris rooftops, or seaside towns like Antibes), tweak her lead magnet, and create a simple offer for a wardrobe planning call.
Here’s what Clara (not her real name) had to say about the session:
“That 45-minute call was more helpful than months of trying to figure it out on my own. Aileen helped me see how to tie my story, my style, and my services together in a way that finally makes sense. I’ve been hesitating for months—uncertain what to post, unsure if I was doing the right thing—and now I feel like I have a clear, confident direction. I’ve already made changes and I’m excited to share my business again. I’m no longer stuck—I’m inspired.”

You probably don’t need another course. You need clarity, support, and a trusted eye to help you see what you already have and how to make it work for you.
